Kevin Reay, Sales Consultant at the Buccaneer Pools Joondalup display centre, won Gold in two categories at the 2025 SPASA WA Awards of Excellence: Pool Sales Representative and Professional of the Year. He went on to be named a finalist in both categories at the 2025 SPASA National Awards of Excellence, competing against the best in the industry from every state and New Zealand.
It is rare for one person to win both awards in the same year. Pool Sales Representative recognises the customer experience a consultant delivers. Professional of the Year is broader, recognising expertise, conduct and contribution across the whole industry.
What the awards recognise
The SPASA Awards of Excellence are run by the Swimming Pool and Spa Association of Australia, the industry’s peak body. Individual categories are judged by an independent panel on submissions, references and customer feedback rather than sales volume, so the awards reflect how a consultant works, not just how much they sell.
Gold winners in each state are automatically entered into the SPASA National Awards. Kevin’s two national finalist placings put him among a handful of consultants recognised at that level in 2025.
