Using the latest Aquashield technology, all Buccaneer fibreglass pools have six layers of strength, each composed of high quality, highly durable materials. Each layer provides a combination of moisture repellent and structural properties, together with a corrosion inhibition layer and cosmetic layer that will ensure your pool looks as good as the day it was installed, even after years of use.

Cosmetic Layer
The first layer contains the pool’s cosmetic finish, incorporating a strong, attractive surface that has superior colour stability and exceptional resistance to UV rays, water ingress, chemicals and scratching. This layer ensures your pool retains its stunning good looks even after years of use.

Corrosion Layer
Sitting between the Cosmetic Layer and the 1st Structural layer, the Corrosion Layer is composed of a vinyl ester resin that provides superior chemical, heat and water protection for the pool structure, effectively halting any corrosion.

1st Structural Layer
This layer again comprises a vinyl ester resin and is also another chemical resistant and corrosion barrier. The 1st Structural Layer provides the foundation for the pool’s outstanding strength and further enhances its resistance to water immersion.

2nd Structural Layer
The 2nd Structural Layer incorporates a revolutionary system developed by Buccaneer Pools and Spas to provide the highest level of strength and rigidity. This system significantly increases the stiffness of the final structural laminate compared to other conventional systems.

3rd Structural Layer
Using the same composite system as the 2nd Structural Layer, this layer also acts to give the pool maximum strength and rigidity.

Outer Surface Layer
The final layer is specially formulated to repel moisture and protect the structural layers from external influences.
